Had good fishing here during the early season but the flows have dropped significantly and the water is now very warm; over 70 degrees. We ask people not to fish this water since it is very stressful on the fish. Once the weather cools down and the water levels come back up there should be good fishing.

Fires in Independence and Big Pine areas have essentially closed down access to the Eastern Sierra. Highway 395 has been closed down for extended periods of time. Very heavy smoke in the area.
