The area around the fish hatchery is fishing better than most other areas due to the regular hatchery plants, or you can explore a little and look for wild fish in other, less traveled areas. An Adams in smaller sizes does a great job of imitating both the omnipresent mosquitos as well as the variety of mayflies this river produces. Caddis and PMD hatches have been the primary surface draw here with evenings occasionally being exceptional for the smaller Bows. Small nymphs and big streamers have been best when fishing sub-surface.
