Fishing for bass, trout, and crappie on Haymeadow and Cold Springs has been hit-or-miss. The water temperatures are around 64 degrees at the boat launches. Fishing at the upper end of Adams-McGill Reservoir was good over the weekend. Anglers caught bass in the nine- to 12-inch range. Bass fishing also has been good at Dacey. Bass are biting black plastic worms rigged Texas style. Dacey is artificial lure only and the use of PowerBait on Dacey is prohibited. NDOW is asking that visitors not dam up the out flow of the Hot Creek spring; doing so slows the amount of water that can be delivered to the reservoirs.
