Mike Lackey docked his Vagabond at Pt. Loma Sportfishing September 16 after a four-day trip to Cedros Island with chartermistress Nanette Smith. Fishing was good on yellowtail there for the 26 anglers.

Steve Lenhart of Murietta won first place for a 28-pound yellow. He was tied by Dave Morrones of Reno. They split first and second-place winnings. Jack Bair of Huntington Beach was third, for a 27.6-pound yellowtail.
