Kokanee bite has started. Target the mouth of the dam pocket or off the Spillway at depths from 20- to 40-feet (20 feet early in the morning to depths around 40 feet under a bright sky). Shoepeg corn is a must with scented flavors of

garlic or anise during this early season bite. Uncle Larry’s spinners, Glitter Bug Hoochies or Vance’s Sockeye Slammers a good bet for the kokanee. Rainbows are scattered but expect bows to 16-inches trolling the open waters of the main lake. Surface water temp is nearing 58 degrees and a lady bug hatch is enticing a surface bite. Bass fishing is good. Not a lot of fish being caught but some giants are showing up.  These giant fish are being caught on mainly jigs, worms, and swim baits.
