I can't say we finished off our last voyage with anything other than another valiant attempt to find the lucky horse shoe offshore in fair weather conditions. I'd like to be able to add a few frills and delicately report the fact that the inside track on the offshore scene is a difficult prospect at present, but there really is no way obscure the reality of the picture. It is terrible on the inside with very little sign of anything other than fish we have no interest in targeting; namely yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, and dorado in the four to eight pound class. Fortunately there has been sufficient island action to provide our quality fishing opportunities because at present, this offshore scene to the south is just plain grim. You never know however, especially offshore, where conditions have a history of changing fast and opportunities regularly manifest where there were none before.
On that note we will have another look tomorrow as we head back down below on our annual Pfishcadora four day voyage in search of yellowtail action on the inside before we set up for what we hope will be a strong finish to the west.

Well it's pure damage control now as the outside island did not come through in any way. Yes we scratched a few quality yellowfin, but between the Great Whites collecting their dues and a very significant lack of fish, our report from the outside is not a good one. I do not feel that it is doomsday and the sky is falling at Guadalupe. We simply hit it on a couple of off days that will, in all likelihood, be...... Read More
