After a short discussion on Saturday morning, it was decided that Tim would stay home and that I, Brian, would be at the helm for this three day adventure sponsored by R J Allen Inc. With a prime load of live bait aboard we are headed offshore to do some prospecting for tuna. We have very nice weather and some satellite info to go on. Wish us luck.

6-5-2009I handed over the helm to captain Brian at San Martin this morning as halibut aren't exactly my area of expertise. It took him a while to get them located but once he did, we had a couple good drifts for 11 nice butts from 15-25lbs. We are presently enjoying a nice ride up and will be in tomorrow at 0800. A decent day of prospecting the calm waters of Cedros for 40 yellows that we kept and several others released. Picture fishing in a lake but your catching 20 to 40lb yellows, that is the best way to describe this fishing here.
