We shut down on a school in the dark this morning that hit us at daylight and
produced one of the best bites I've seen on this size yft offshore. Incredible
fishing that continued to get better as the day progressed and continued after
we had our limits and passed the school to one of our code boats.
Except for three bft and one albacore the entire catch was 20-50lb yft with a
few smaller ones mixed in, most of which were released.
After a few days down this bigger yft and bft is obviously getting back on the
float, hold on on the upcoming trips.
We have one more day here to try for a few bft before heading home.
Phil and Evan Hashimoto show off a couple 40lb yft in today's shot.

8-23-201208/22/12 Made to order day of stellar angling in flat calm weather on 18-35lb yellows with three 35lb wsb thrown in. A very steady bite until after lunch with all methods working well. With a couple areas of bft starting to develop back up the line, we are heading up completely satiated on the yellows hoping to finish up the trip on quality tuna. Denise Nakamura with a 34lb yellow and Evan Hashimoto with a 30lb wsb are today's shots. Photo Here... Photo Here... ...... Read More

08/21/12 We spent the day looking offshore for one kelp that produced 110 mixed yft, bft, and dorado. Aside from one 35lb bft, all the tuna were school fish. The water has warmed up considerably on the whole coast making it difficult to get this bigger fish relocated with no edges to work on. We are going to target yellows tomorrow for a change of pace and hopefully finish up the trip on bft. ...... Read More
