We had a great day of fishing today. We started out with a pretty god snap on
the yellowtail. Most were 20-28# fish. When they quit biting we moved and set up
for a little variety. The grumpy calico bass did not disappoint. For a couple of
hours calicos from three to seven pounds came over the rail. All but a few of
the smaller models were released to fight again another day. The few we kept
will make a tasty lunch tomorrow. We Then took off and headed outside. We ran
smack into the middle of biting 25-35# yellowfin tuna and played with them until
the sun went down.

Two pictures today. First Nona Grancell and Crewman Paul Caramao with a morning
yellowtail. Second, Cary Serklew and an afternoon yellowfin.

10/02/13 Today we had very good yellowtail fishing in the morning. The fish ate the jigs until our arms were tired then they ate the bottom rigs. We spent mid day making a move and scratched a few more for the evening. We will be back at it in the morning as we could use a little more action on these beautiful grade yellows. In today's shot, Chartermaster Larry Brown shows a quality yellow taken on the jig. Brian Photo Here......... Read More

10/01/13 Today we prospected offshore in beautiful weather. We found a few kelps and a couple of dabs of loose fish. We had some good action and were pure sportsmen today releasing the majority of what we hooked. A few yellowfin and a couple of handfuls of better grade dorado made their way into the hatch. We are shifting gears and will be inshore for tomorrow's fishing. Tom Lawrence gets the honors today with his 30# yellowfin tuna. Brian Photo Here......... Read More
