The Pacific Queen continues to experience excellent fishing for yellowtail and rockfish on their 1 ½ day trips fishing around Punta Colonet and along the Mexican coast. Yellowtail ranging in size from 15 to 30+ pounds have been biting the heavier jigs fished deep yo-yo style while quality rockfish have been filing out anglers sacks with tasty fillets. Recent trip fish counts have ranged from 28 to 165 fish per trip and the Pacific Queen has already put their anglers on 938 yellowtail so far this year.

The Pacific Queen’s most recent trip with Captain Gavin at the helm saw 83 quality yellowtail and Mexican limits of rockfish hitting the decks for the group despite a steady wind and moderate swell. All around great day of fishing!!

The Queen has 1 ½ day trips leaving every Friday at 8 pm through early April fishing Punta Colonet and the Mexican coast for yellowtail and rockfish and the fishing is only expected to get better as the season progresses.

Call Fisherman's Landing at (619) 222-1144 or check their website at www.fishermanslanding.com or the Pacific Queen’s website at www.pacific-queen.com to book a spot on any upcoming trip.
