Hello Everyone,

I hope this letter finds you all well and enjoying a great Summer!

It's that time of year again where I hit you all up for some support for our annual fundraising dinner and concert.

I wanted to let you know about a unique opportunity for you and your organization to get involved in a very special community event over Labor Day Weekend in Bridgeport, California. The Bridgeport area of Mono County is known for its outdoor activities but as you know, it’s especially known to attract fishing enthusiasts from all over the West and beyond.

I represent the Fishin’ Mission Foundation, an IRS approved non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial support to the Bridgeport Community. We are an entirely volunteer organization so 100% of donations go directly to the causes selected by our members. We use our funds to support various local needs, with a current focus on educational scholarships and fishing habitat needs like the Bridgeport Fish Enhancement Foundation and our recent Trout in the Classroom project with the Bridgeport Elementary School. Please visit our web site and our Facebook page for more details as well as pictures of past events sponsored by our foundation.

We are now sponsoring our 7th Annual Western BBQ and Concert over Labor Day Weekend this year on September 3, 2016. We have again selected the Bridgeport Fish Enhancement Foundation as the recipient of the net proceeds in keeping with our goal of supporting the Bridgeport community and fish habitat. We have also again obtained a commitment from Billy and Sue Ruiz of Cowboy Flavor fame to provide the best of the west in BBQ, as well as the Terry Sheets Band who will provide a great western flavor to the evening. We have sold this event out every year, and it would be a great opportunity to promote your company!

During the dinner/concert we have a fundraising raffle with as many donations as we can get our hands on, this raffle helps increase the bottom line of the event so we can pass on as much funding to the Fish Enhancement Foundation as possible. So I am writing this letter to inquire as to your interest in perhaps supporting our event this year. We welcome any and all participation, whether financial or merchandise, and would love to add your companies name to this great fishing fund raisers growing list of sponsors!

Another event we have been sponsoring for the last several years is the "East Walker River Clean-up" day, this river clean-up is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 5, 2016 and it entails 4 or 5 hours of picking up litter from the East Walker River as well as, volunteers permitting, branching out to Bridgeport Reservoir, Robinson Creek and any other local waters that we can get to. After the clean-up we sponsor a great BBQ at the local park where everyone gets together to talk fishing and enjoy the afternoon. This event is not a fundraiser but we were thinking that if we could get a nice raffle type prize we would hand out a free raffle ticket to every participant who gathers up a bag of trash and raffle the item off at the BBQ. This might also be a great way for your company to get your name out and help sponsor a great event.

We hope you will see the corporate benefit in brand promotion as well as the opportunity to support a community where locals and visitors alike certainly support your core business. If you would like to make any type of donation and/or need any additional information don't hesitate to give me a call!
