This has been one of the best 2 months for catfishing in a really long time!  A heavier action rod with 12 pound test or more is recommened, because some of the catfish caught this month have been in the double digit range. Usually fishing a decent chunk of mackeral with no weight is the way to go. If you don't like eating these fish just throw them back. Don't lip them like a Bass unless you don't care about your thumb!
