Heading into Fall.

Summer ain’t got much left. Fishing is good on the Truckee River.

Flows have got real skinny above Boca. Below Boca and down through Nevada, flows are about just right for Fall. The whole lower river is fishing very good. Cool to cold nights, warm afternoons, and a pretty good bite throughout the day.

Fish softer water early when it’s cold, fish the faster water when it warms. Get out early, or late and look for the trouts hunting- streamers. Out East through the Nature Conservancy, the water has cooled and it’s right around that time. Climate maps say we might have a wet October, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

Few spots left for the Streamer Clinic on October 3rd.
