Continued warm weather.

Hot in the afternoons, cold in the mornings on the Truckee River. We need us a change in the weather. Looks like we might get something later in the week. Something is better than nothing. Fishing has been more like September, and less like October. Hopefully, that changes.

If we could get some weather, would turn things on a bit. Get some brown trouts active, and some streamer fishing going. Those trouts don’t like to chase when the sun is up and it’s 85 degrees out.

So your best fishing right now is mid-morning, or until things change later in the week. If we could get some clouds and rain, it would get some dry fly fishing going and everything else. I’m sick of the hot weather, sick of nymphing, sick of sweating my balls off on the afternoons. I need some dry fly, and streamer fishing in my life again.
