Water temperatures on the Little Truckee are slightly lower than the big river, but with the lower flows, conditions are probably still too hot for the fish. Anglers are advised to fish early mornings so they don’t harm the fish. There is a pale morning dun hatch occurring around 9 am until 11am, and then a spinner fall occurs in the afternoon. Some recommended flies anglers could try are burks silhouette PMD, pink cahills, small caddis, two-bit hooker nymphs, size 18 pheasant tails, or size 20 zebra midges in black, red, or brown.

FLOWS:46 CFS, VERY LOW
