This year’s opener at Pyramid Lake was both spectacular and unforgettable! The weather was perfect and the LCT’s were on the prowl chowing on baitballs. Our team netted a total of around 65 fish, all at ranging depths depending on what time of day it was (15 feet in early morning/evening and 35+ midday). Not to much shore fishing as we were chasing the baitballs from float tubes, but this is only advised if the wind is very low to nada. Weather pattern has just moved in and its rippin at the lake, so you are going to have to settle for finding the trouts from shore. Tui patterns are working best….out favorite is of course out of our very own “Yak” family…the Yak-A-Tui ! This patterns replicates the schooling Tui Chub and was just deadly on those hungry LCTs.
