Bass are biting soft plastics along the shorelines throughout the lake up to about 40 feet using senkos, jigs, and drop shot set ups with roboworms and nightcrawlers. Some lures have also been working well in the morning hours like crank baits and jerkabits and even jigs off steep walls or points. Stripers have also been biting fairly well off of lugworms, sardines and mackerel throughout the day either from the rip rap in front fo the boat shop or the canal entrance but the entrance booth. Some swimbaits have been working for striper throughout the lake or trolling a heavy kastmaster or jerk-bait to cover more water. Catfish are still biting great on any cut bait down deep typical using a heavy weight to manage the winds and currents and a longer leader to deal with grade. Trout have slowed down a bit but still biting power bait and nightcrawlers in coves.
