Historically these next 3 months are some of the best at Pyramid, so it’s not all too surprising that the fishing has picked up a bit despite the lack of weather. The exciting news is this incoming storm, which should really do a lot to improve the fishing this week. Keep an eye on the forecast and time your day accordingly.

 

Days with overcast, wind and rain will be the best opportunities for good fishing. Recently we have been seeing most fish caught on midges, and while this month is when we usually transition into fishing more midges, it has likely been expedited because of the nice weather. With the shift in weather patterns, dark leeches should also be in the rotation, as well as stripping bugger/beetle combos.
