The California side of the EW is closed for Winter, just the Nevada side is open now. The flows on the East have been fluctuating quite a bit with the warmer, then colder weather we've been having, today the flows are at 115 cfs. Based on the few reports I've had from down there it sounds like the fish have been pretty tight lipped lately with just a few anglers reporting just a fish or two per day. This might be because the water temps are still very low. I think that if the water temps come up just a bit the stones will start to hatch pretty good and the action should pick up at that time. I'll try to keep you informed on the goings on down there as best I can. If I was going to hit it up I'd be packing some stonefly nymphs, zebra midges, perdigons, pheasant tails, hare's ears, worms and the like.
