Stampede Reservoir continues to offer a variety of opportunities for anglers targeting multiple species. Kokanee fishing remains steady, with pink or orange hoochies behind dodgers producing the best results 40 to 60 feet down near the Sagehen and Little Truckee inlets, though fish are still averaging around 8 inches. Rainbow trout anglers are having success trolling Rapalas, while shore anglers continue to catch fish using worms, PowerBait, and spinners. The smallmouth bass bite has also improved around the dam and rocky shorelines, making Stampede a great destination for anglers looking for a productive day on the water.
