Fishing is finally getting better on the Truckee River. That time of year when you get cool/ cold mornings, and hot afternoons. Fishing will always be best mid-mornings now. 

Flows have remained pretty good. 480, here in Hirschdale, and on down the river. 

We've made it through the dog days. It was hot this Summer. Fishing should steadily get better as we move into Fall. 

You probably won't see any Fall type hatches, well, until Fall. Downsize your bugs you're nymphing right now. #16-#18's, stuff like that. Also, very good time to fish baby crayfish. Not a bad time to start busting out the streamers too. Still early, but close. 

We have one more big weekend in town, and then it's super mellow in the Truckee Tahoe area.
