Report: The latest news on the Pit is the clarity is good, flows are where they should be, and the temps are not too warm for the fish in Pit 3 and 4. We have a guided trip up there tomorrow and I'll have more to report on what's up on Thursday. Fishing has been good as well with nymphs & Euronymph set ups. The fish will clump up in the drainages with cold seeps/creek mouths. Keep a thermometer handy and call it quits when you get readings above 65 F. Good flies are always Perdigons, Hotspots, Rubberlegs, and don't discount a well-fished crayfish pattern. Some people fish Woolly Buggers, TJ Hookers can be very effective. The fall will be a good one on the Pit!

This is a great river to fish a Euro rod and we highly recommend it. Be careful though, this can be a slippery river to wade. We recommend a wading staff when fishing the Pit.

Be aware that the flows on the Pit can and will change without notice, so definitely check before you go! And be prepared to get out when the river begins to rise.
