We have some great river news!
Our local angler, Dawn Leclerc, was fishing from shore at Rotary Park and landed these stripers using anchovies. These are the type of fish you can expect to find in our area.
Below Davis Dam, the limit is 10 stripers, with no size limit. Up on Lake Mohave, there is no limit on the number of stripers an angler can catch and keep.
For anglers fishing below Davis Dam this time of year, anchovies are producing some of the best results. You can expect to land stripers anywhere from 1 to 4 pounds. Anglers using swimbaits can also land some of our larger fish more often than those fishing with bait.
Up on Lake Mohave, anglers are having success using a variety of jigs while trolling. Some glide baits in white or bone have been producing, while a white bucktail jig seems to be working well, too.
The coves near the power lines are still great spots to try. Anchovies can produce some nice catches around the cove openings.
We hope this helps for now! We look forward to seeing you and hearing your fishing stories. Most of all, thanks for all your support over the years and for taking the time to read our reports.
Now go catch a fish!
