Surface water temps are hovering around 64 degrees. Rainbow trout, brown trout, wiper, channel catfish and bluegill have all been stocked this spring. With cooling water temperatures you can expect trout fishing to continue to improve. Bass fishing remains good around the reservoir. Bass are hitting dark colored soft plastics in rocky areas and weed edges. Try mixing it up with a chatterbait if the bite gets slow with soft plastics. As of July 1, anglers can keep 1 black bass and 1 wiper. Minimum size for black bass and wiper is 15 inches total length.
Algae is still present, but water quality is relatively clear. For the most up-to-date status on active Harmful Algal Blooms please visit the NDEP Dashboard.
