Anglers are catching fish on a variety of methods from both shore and from float tubes. Retrieving just about anything with an intermediate line will work but without a doubt the best fishing is under an indicator with Pyramid sized midges and nymphs.

Pyramid Lake: Fishing has improved at Pyramid Lake, there are more fish in the shallow waters
Truckee River: The fishing and the flows are about as good as you can get on the Truckee
Little Truckee River: The flows on the Little Truckee are good at 160 cfs, both drys and nymphs are good right now
East Walker River: The flows on the East Walker are at 106 cfs and jumping around, small nymphs and midges are working
Frenchman Lake: Fishing has been outstanding at Frenchman's Reservoir
Lake Davis: Reports from Davis Lake indicate braving the cold would be worth it. Those fish are hungry!

Truckee River: We look for the weather to affect a slowing for fishing on the Truckee
Little Truckee River: The flows are perfect on the Little Truckee and so is the fishing
Frenchman Lake: Frenchman's is ice free & fishing is outstanding, depending on recent storms access may be a problem
Lake Davis: The fish aren't particular at Lake Davis, they're just hungry!
