Water Conditions: Great the flow is at 45 CFS. This is a permanent flow required to be maintained by LADWP.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Stinging nettles are back. Also watch out for snakes.
Recommended Flies:
DRIES: Crystal Humpy #16, Royal Coachman #16, Rubber Leg Stimulator, Yellow Humpy 18, Kaufman Stimulator 16, Yellow Humpy #16
NYMPHS: Red Copper John #18, Green Copper John #18, BH Prince Nymph #18, Western Coachman # 16, Stocker's BH Lightning Bug #18.

Mammoth Lakes : All the lakes in the Mammoth Basin are fishable
Hot Creek: Caddis flies are the key to fishing on Hot Creek
Crowley Lake: Midge Hatches are good at Crowley, Green Bank's is the "hot" area
Owens River: The Crowley fish are gone, and the Uper Owens has slowed as a result
Crowley Lake: Crowley is producing the usual Ranibows & Browns but there are also some real pig perch to be had
Owens River: The Upper Owens is very slow right now

Mammoth Lakes : All the lakes in the Mammoth Basin are now fishable
Hot Creek: On Hot Creek use Midges early & caddis from mid-morning on
Crowley Lake: Crowley is fishing great, nymphs and streamers are the ticket
Owens River: The water has cleared on the Upper Owens but the fishing is just fair
Owens River: The flows are perfect in the Gorge and the fishing is good
Owens River: Water Skiing would be better than fishing on the Lower Owens as the flows are too high
Bridgeport Reservoir: Fishing is great at Bridgeport, but the fish are spread out until the weeds come
East Walker River: Fishing is still good on the East Walker as the flows have been consistent
