Fishing has picked upat June Lake. Baitfishing is the best way to catch fish. Best spots are at the reeds or between the big rock and small rock. Trollers are going down 5 colors. June Lake Marina (760) 648-7726; Trout bite is uneven at Gull. A plant of large trout went in this week and a few in the 2 to 4 pound range are starting to be caught. Boaters go to the rock across the lake and anchor with Mice Tails or salmon peach Power Bait. Gull Lake Marina (760) 648-7539; At Silver Lake, a steady stream of 1 to 2 pound trout are falling to Power Bait, Mice Tails or Kastmasters. Boat fishing has been as good as shore fishing.
