Gene St. Denis of Blue Ribbon Charters and Tahoe Trophy Trout at South Lake Tahoe, Calif. (530-544-6552): We have been trolling 50-240 feet deep. We locate the fish on the fish finder and then troll in a "Figure Eight" pattern, bouncing the bottom. I've been fishing at Cal-Neva, Dollar Point and Sugar Pine Points.

I've been fishing 50-200 feet deep at Ski Run Shelf, Camp Richardson and the Tahoe Keys. Trolling with silver Herring Dodger flasher blades and minnows. Bouncing off the bottom in a serpentine pattern. Macks are 2-7 pounds.

Gene St. Denis: Trolling for Mackinaw 60-150 feet deep with flashers and minnows.

Chuck and Linda Fields at the Topaz Lake Marina (775-266-3550): Not much going on, here. It's about the end of the season. With this hot weather, all we have is lots of jet skis and water skiers.

Dave Kirby: Not very many fishermen. The water is extremely low and the fishing is really slow.

Bouncing off the bottom in a serpentine pattern. We caught a 2 pound brown, a 4 pound brown and a 7 pound rainbow, last week.

Gene St. Denis: Cave Rock Landing has been really slow. Once in the while, someone catches something.

Chuck and Linda Fields at the Topaz Lake Marina (775-266-3550): It's too darn hot. Even the fish don't like it. We had a couple of boats come in, yesterday (Sunday), with limits. One was using worms and the other was using Power Bait. ?Į

Andy at The Gilly Sporting Goods Store: The Truckee is still fishing good. The water flows are slowing down. There is a good Caddis hatch in the evenings. Try yellow Sallys or Stone Flies . Nothing super big, just the normal Truckee River planter size.

Dave Kirby: A big plant of nice fish on Friday. A 9-pound rainbow on a Panther/Martin lure by Kevin Rodgers of Woodfords on Friday. A 4-pound rainbow on Power Bait by Buddy Potter of Tacoma, Wash. on Sunday.
