Boat anglers are generally finding fish 15 feet below the surface and are doing well locating fish and fishing frog or trout colored torpedoes. Contrary to popular opinion that the lake is dead, the fish and fishing at Walker Lake is still very worthwhile. Most anglers contacted in late December had fish. The cutthroat are robust and worth fishing for.

Gene Phelps of Carson City reported: Fishing again last Friday, twice last week, nary a bump. Almost impossible to cast a lure, moss is blooming like crazy. Hardly anyone fishing at Walker, we saw two boats, no shore fishermen at all.
