Flows 105 cfs. If doing C & R in that area:PT's Hare's ear, stone, Micro Mayfly, san juans. Dries: Stimi's in yellow, hoppers, PMD's.

FYI: Hoye Canyon is NO LONGER open to the public. Only fishing on the West Walker Nevada access is WILSON CANYON on Hwy 208 south of Yerington. Copper johns in red or black, PT’s, San Juans, prince nymphs. Certainly can try a dry like a small hopper or EHC.

A bit cooler water at this little creek, since it doesn't get the hot afternoon sun. Buggers, hoppers, ants, caddis, little yellow stones.

Cool nights down there, and really, it's just so nice down there in this time of year. (A reminder, it is Dove Hunting Season.. watch for hunters down there) Can't tell you how well the Hot Pink San Juan works.. for those that scoff at using something pink..... well.... we can get you some testimony :) Dead drift light colored

Fishing has been fair for those that work for it. I fished with friend Tom last week and we trolled Rapals and Needlefish for 6 hours. We were rewarded with 2 rainbows each ranging 15 to 19 inches. On the weekends the water skiers and jet skiers will be out by about 10am so hold on to your life vest. Some are not so courteous

The fishing has been a little on the slow side. The striper bite has been mostly the smaller fish ranging around the 1 pound size. These are still a good eating fish but most will release trying for the larger ones. Not much word from the Lake Mohave. I did have a couple of anglers drop me off some stripers as they

Low flows through Glenshire to Boca outflow and good flows and better temps from Boca to Stateline. With the current flows concentrate your efforts in the deeper pools in the AM, move into the faster seams and riffles into the afternoon and then back into the pools in the evening when trout are feeding on the surface for Yellow Sallies, Caddis, and PED's. (GENERAL REG SECTION FROM TAHOE CITY TO TROUT CREEK) Fishing well as one will concentrate on the stretch between Alpine and the town of Truckee. Some nice trout being caught here as this area has seen a influx of fish from downriver.
