Floyd Lamb Park, encompassing several spring-fed impoundments within Las Vegas, Nevada, operates as a designated urban fishery under the Nevada Department of Wildlife's (NDOW) Urban Fishing Program. These ponds are systematically stocked with catchable-sized Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) during cooler seasons (autumn through spring). Concurrently, populations of Channel Catfish (Ictalurus punctatus), Largemouth Bass (Micropterus salmoides), and various panfish (e.g., Bluegill, Redear Sunfish) provide warmwater angling opportunities, particularly in summer.

Angling methodologies are elementary and highly effective. Conventional bait presentations utilizing PowerBait, worms, or salmon eggs are efficacious for trout. Catfish respond to cut bait or prepared stink baits. Spin casting with diminutive artificial lures (spinners, spoons) also yields consistent results across species. Optimal fishing periods coincide with active stocking schedules for trout, while warmwater species are most active during elevated temperatures. Accessibility is excellent, characterized by convenient urban location, ample parking, and well-maintained shorelines. Anglers are unequivocally mandated to consult current NDOW regulations concerning specific bag limits and any area-specific provisions, critical for the sustained management of this accessible put-and-take fishery.
Year round, any hour (except areas as posted). Daily limit: 5 trout, 6 black bass (min 13 in), NO LIMIT on striped bass (NEW 2026), 25 catfish, 15 crappie. No limit on other game fish.
