Pinecrest Lake is a high-country reservoir located in Tuolumne County within the Stanislaus National Forest. At 5,600 feet elevation and encompassing roughly 300 surface acres, it is a well-managed, heavily stocked trout fishery that draws anglers of all skill levels throughout the open season, from late April through October.

Rainbow trout are stocked regularly, and anglers can also encounter brown trout and the occasional brook trout. Bank anglers typically use PowerBait, nightcrawlers, and salmon eggs, especially along the accessible western and southern shores.
