Otter Creek Reservoir - Angle, UT

Lake Information

Otter Creek Reservoir is a 2,500-acre trout powerhouse in southern Utah. Rainbows are the main draw, averaging 14–20 inches and caught trolling needlefish or Rapalas, or from shore using bait near the marina.

Tiger trout and Bear Lake cutthroats offer added challenge and are caught deeper on jigs or streamers. Wipers and smallmouth bass provide bonus species, with smallmouth found near rocky structure and wipers roaming open water.

Spring and fall are peak seasons, but fishing is solid year-round. Shore anglers do well near the dam; boaters can target trout or bass across the lake.

Otter Creek State Park has ramps, campgrounds, and amenities for visitors. Water levels are generally stable, but checking ahead is smart.

Otter Creek offers consistent, multispecies fishing in a scenic, well-equipped reservoir ideal for both shore and boat anglers.
