Donner Kokanee Report

Donner Lake still kicking out limits of Kokanee. Today started off great, 6 fish before daylight, then the bite turned off for 1.5 hrs before things got crazy. Twice we had zero rods in the water. Couldn't bait em up quick enough before another hook up. 3 doubles and lots of tangles but had an enjoyable day keeping 3 limits outta about 25-30 Kokanee.

Slower today at Boca except for last hour. Think we got 7 to the boat that last hour. Crazy. Lost a couple too. Ended up with 4 limits by noon to 18". Average in the high 15's.

Another good day today at Boca. Fishing has slowed to a crawl for most, but with a bit of expierence and hard work, we're still doing well. Radical Glow Tubes 20'-35' have been the ticket for us. Fishing Guide James Netzel checked in from the High Sierra today. We got boat limits in 5 hours. It was a great day fishing up in high sierras today. 25 Kokanee to 17". Average 15". The report has been posted as Stampede but it is for an undisclosed location.

Tough Day at Stampede

Fishing Guide James Netzel checked in with an update fish report from Stampede Reservoir. We got off to a later start today at Stampede and a tough bite but banged out 7 Kokanee to 15" and a nice 17" cutthroat. Lost a bunch too of course. Lotta boats today. Made it difficult to keep the net hidden.

Fishing Guide James Netzel checked in from Stampede Lake with a Kokanee Fish Report. A ton of fish hooked today at Stampede but only 13 managed to get in the net. Beautiful day up here while the valley is sweltering in 100 degree heat. It's a hard life!!

Captain James Netzel checked in from Tight Lines Guide Service. Today we fished at Folsom Lake. John McCormik senior and junior had a blast this morning catching 2 limits of Rainbows at Folsom lake. Red dot bullfrog speedy shiner was hot spoon followed by copper.

Fishing Guide James Netzel checked in from Folsom Lake today. James said, "Here's my wife Melissa with 2 nice Folsom rainbows. We caught 2 limits in less than 3 hrs. Speedy shiners. Hot color was copper, followed by bull frog red dot and brown trout. Caught fish 30-50' down"

Marked the Kings, just we're not willing today. Folsom is hot right now for both hold overs and planters. Can't believe how acrobatic they are. More jumps than Kokanee and just as fat full
