Put in the time, reap the rewards. While the fishing has definitely picked up and some quality pigs are being caught, you do have to be cognizant of the fact that you have to be on point when searching out these one of a kind Trout. Depth, presentation, time, weather, and moon cycle all play a part. We have had pretty consistent results on Vampire leeches under an indicator. This is a great pattern consisting of a bruised leech with a chartreuse bead, but bruised leeches with orange and red beads are working well too. Contrast is king on the ‘Mid! Don’t be afraid to get on the strip, beetles have been pretty consistent and as we head closer to the spawn time beetles will be all the rage.

If you are looking to book a guided experience be sure to reach out to Pyramid Fly Co at 970.231.9609  for a ½, ¾, or full day trip….use the code word Bearfish when you book!
