Striper and bass have been biting more frequently throughout the lake on various baits both from the shoreline and from boats. Soft plastics like smaller paddle tail baits on lead heads have been working well for stripers along with kastmasters and jerk baits. Sardines, anchovies, and lugworms have also been working well to come across the stripers throughout the day down deep, anywhere up to 60 feet deep. Bass have been biting senkos, roboworms and flukes along with shallow, suspending jerk baits and shallow diving crank baits.

Catfish have also been biting well down deep along the coves found around the lake and along sandy banks on various cut baits like cut mackerel, chicken liver and sardines as well. Nightcrawlers have been a great bait this tie of year catching bass, trout, stripers and catfish around the lake.

Water temp: 60 degrees
