We expect to see this storm cycle will really help to turn the bite on at Pyramid this week. We are seeing low barometric pressure, overcast skies, just a touch of wind every day, and a good moon phase. These factors that we look at when we forecast the fishing out here help us make predictions on the fishing along with other things like water temperature and time of year. When we see this many things align, it’s pretty safe to say there will be some good days this week!

The bite remains good on most bugs, both on the strip and under the bobber, so bring both set ups to the shore and swap out presentations to mix up the day for both you and the fish. The bite seems to be good along a number of the beaches in the middle of the lake and to the north.

However, out here you never really know, and it can pay off to be mobile and try another beach if the bite isn’t happening where you’re at. As we come into the prime months out here, we encourage you to set some time aside and put in some days out here. While we have seen some really large fish already caught this year, we’ve got a strong suspicion that we haven’t seen the biggest of the year just yet!
