Striped bass are becoming more active below Davis Dam. Anglers have caught fish as large as 5 pounds from the shoreline as well as boats. Anchovies are the most reliable bait, but anglers are also reporting success with a variety of swimbaits. Rainbow trout are hanging out in shaded pools near currents. The fish are leaving their hiding spots to take flashy spinnerbaits or combinations of night crawlers and PowerBait.
