Fishing conditions:  Good

Report: The upper river below Lake McCloud through the Conservancy continues to fish very well, particularly in the evenings. Dry-dropper with a Chubby Chernobyl hanging a Weiss Firefly, Walt's Worm, Olive Hotspot, or Sweet Pea is a good setup. The Yellow Sallies are coming off in the afternoons, so swap your dropper with a UV Sally or Jiggy Yellow Sally. The Browns are moving up from the lake into the upper section of the river as they ready to spawn, so streamer fishing can get you hooked up to a big one. To reserve a day with one of our expert guides to experience one of the most picturesque streams in the north state, call Bryan in Outfitters at 800-669-3474.
