Flows are holding steady at 106 CFS. The fishing conditions have been really good. PMD's have been hatching mid day and also the occasional Green Drake. In the evenings there are a few midges hatching as well. The dry fly fishing has been very good for seasoned anglers. 6X and 7X tippet is a must on size 16-20 dries. 6X is also a good idea when nymph fishing. The Little Truckee is a very technical fishery. It requires its own techniques and skill sets. It does not fish anything like the Truckee and a much more stealthy approach is needed. Anglers who take their time, make far less casts and study the fish are the ones who do well. The Little Truckee is definitely a stream that 10 casts will catch as many fish as 100 casts.
