Water Conditions: Water is still clear. Cooling now with overnight lows in the upper 30's.
These lakes are lower than they've been in a long time.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Fishing is great now at all times of the day. Look for fish at inlets and outlets feeding actively!
Recommended Flies:
Dries: Griffith's Gnat #20-22, Parachute Adams #20, Brook's Sprout Midge #20-22, Royal Wulff #14-16, Flying Ants
Nymphs: Copper John #16-18, Black Zebra Midge #20-22, Olive Bird's Nest #18, Hare's Ear #16-18, Pheasant Tail #18, Callibaetis Nymphs
Streamers: Olive Matuka, Doc's Twin Lakes Special Black or Olive #10-12, Pop's Bugger Olive, Rickard's Seal Bugger, Beldar Bugger Black, Crystal Bugger Black/Olive, Olive Matuka.
Guides Hint: Trail your streamers with a nymph, like a Bird's Nest, Hare's Ear, or a Pheasant Tail.

Mammoth Lakes : Fishing in the Mammoth Lakes area is great
Hot Creek: No crowds at Hot Creek and active fish chomping flies on the surface.
San Joaquin River: Fishing is fair at the San Joaquin and the flows are almost too slow
Crowley Lake: The big fish at lake Crowley are more spread out which makes the fish harder to find
Owens River: Fishing at the Upper Owens has not hit the hot meter yet
Owens River: Fishing hasn't changed much at the Owens River Gorge
Rock Creek - Section 1: Fish the lakes on the way up to Rock Creek
Rush Creek: Rush Creek is fishing very well above 395, especially in the afternoon
Owens River: The flows are dropping on the Lower Owens
Bridgeport Reservoir: There are good hatches at Bridgeport Reservoir, the problem is finding the fish
East Walker River: The best results on the East Walker are to use mayfly nymphs in the mornings

San Joaquin River: At the San Joaquin the fish are holding in the deeper pools
Crowley Lake: Crowley lake is now fishing fair to good
Owens River: Fish the more realistic patterns instead of attractor patterns on the Upper Owens
Owens River: The fishing at the Owens River Gorge hasn't changed much
Rock Creek - Section 1: Good fishing at Rock Creek, the hike is worth it
Rush Creek: Good fishing below 395 on Rush Creek
Owens River: Fishing is fair right now on the Lower Owens with flows around 400 cfs
Bridgeport Reservoir: Finding the fish is the problem at Bridgeport, but the hatches are good
East Walker River: On the East Walker try nymphing in the morning & terrestrials in the afternoon
