Hot and sunny for the week highs stayed in the upper 90's and low 100's with a minimal breeze. Striped Bass are attacking Anchovies all over the Lake. Lake temps are entering the 75 degree range which is quite warm. We had our first catfish plant yesterday of 750 lbs so the catfishing will be exceptional in the up coming week. Cats like to hide in and amoungst the weed beds and under fallen trees, timber, and logs. Most cats prefer warm shallow water but the deep water helps hide them. Anyways Anchovies is the only way to go at the moment! Striped bass fishing is only getting better, after the opening weekend of heat everybody is catching limits of stripers most in the 18-24 inch class but still a great fight on ultra light tackle. Soon top water baits will be the go to! Don't forget the sunscreen and water when you come visit us here at the lake good luck everyone! (925) 449-5201
