by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Surface water temperatures were 49 degrees on April 8th and fishing is picking up.  The dock is in at the main boat ramp and the water level is good for launching a boat here. Ice Coming Off At Wildhorse

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE

Wilson Res. Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Fishing was good last weekend with anglers catching fish using a variety of presentations.  For the bait anglers, worms seem to be working better than PowerBait.  Spin fishermen should be using black spinners with gold blades.  Fly rodders were having good luck with purple wooly buggers.  Since Wilson often fishes similar to South Fork, bring the chironomid patterns.  The water level is down about 6

Road Still Closed

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The road is closed, and the lake is ice covered.  There will be no fishing reports for this lake until late spring or early summer depending upon the winter.

Ice Free and Low Water Levels

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE

Fishing Has Been Fair

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Fishing has been fair to good depending upon the day and location, with high water levels and turbid water.   The fish that are being caught are with leech patterns, balanced leeches, crystal buggers, #14-16 hare’s ears, and #16-18 PT nymphs.  Other flies working include the usual small nymphs, olive soft hackles, red or blue copper Johns, and prince nymphs. On warmer afternoons if you see

Wildhorse Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
As of Thursday, April 1, the lake was still covered with ice, but the edges had softened enough that anglers should stay off.  We are at that in between stage  when it isn’t safe to get on the ice for ice fishing and there isn’t any open water for soft water fishing.  The tailwater below the dam has low flows and the shorelines are icy

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
As of Wednesday, the ice was a good 17 inches thick with a couple of inches of snow on top and very little slush due to last weekend’s cool down.  With the warming trend, plan on some slush in the near future. There is very little change in fishing conditions as anglers are doing well for both perch and trout, though the perch seem to

Boies Reservoir Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
At last report, there was 10 inches of ice, but with the warming trend anglers may find the water level rising a bit creating a ring of water around the lake.  As we are nearing the end of the ice fishing season, drilling test holes is advised as you venture upon the ice. Two weeks ago anglers had good results for 10-to-15-inch trout using worms

Water Level is Very Low

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The lake is iced over with unsafe ice, except where the aerator is. Due to the aerator and the size of the lake, ice is generally never safe for ice fishing.  The water level is very low so pray for a good winter to fill this reservoir up.
