Missy at Burke's Market at Silver Springs (775-577-2750): I have a photo of a fisherman holding two beautiful Walleye that look about 28 inches long and they were caught over by the dam. Lots of Walleye being caught all over the lake. Nightcrawlers are working better than anything else.

Bass fishing has really turned on. Late last Friday afternoon, Mike Zahradka of Yerington caught and released 20 bass in 45 minutes with a Banjo Minnow.

Todd Sodaro of the Carson River Resort (877-694-2229): Josh Hughes of Napa caught a 5-pound, 7-ounce rainbow on orange Power Bait on Monday morning. Doug Tollis of Campbell caught a 3-pound, 9-ounce rainbow on green label Salmon eggs.

Missy at Burke's Market at Silver Springs (775-577-2750): Fabulous fishing with the warmer weather. They are pulling out Walleye, right and left. You don't even need minnows, worms are also working. One fisherman got a 5-pound Walleye off Beach No. 5 on Tuesday.

Cold weather has the flows down to 250 cfs. Great flows for fishing but the approaching warm weather should have the flows climbing again by the end of the week. Elmer Bull: Rich Ellington, retired from NDOW, fished on Friday. He did well on trout, up to 15 inches, with Brass Bead-Head flies under the surface. There were about 10 fishermen at the slough.

Missy at Burke's Market at Silver Springs (775-577-2750): Fishing has really picked up. One fisherman said he caught 6 pounds of Catfish with minnows at Beach No. 4. They are catching big Walleyes at Beach Nos. 10 and 12.

One fisherman with minnows got into a school of Walleye on Saturday that were 17-21 inches.
