NDOW successfully stocked catfish in the park ponds during the last week of September, and one more plant is scheduled prior to the start of trout season. Anglers targeting striped bass have had better success over the week by jigging deeper. Despite the abundance of live bait, fish are hitting on artificial lures. Sunrise continues to be the best time to hit the water. The black bass species are hitting occasionally on shad but primarily on lures in about 45-60 feet of water.
