Anglers have been reeling in what one park ranger described as "nice-sized crappie," as well as largemouth bass and rainbow trout. They recently received another load of fish from the Nevada Dept. of Wildlife. PowerBait, worms, spinners and flies should all catch trout. Striped bass have not been very cooperative for anglers and fishing is still slow. Only a handful of fish were caught over the weekend, and they came from various parts of the lake. Striped bass fishing has picked up substantially during the past week. Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) creel clerks checked 234 stripers at one of the fish cleaning stations in one day.
