by TROUT CREEK OUTFITTERS
Pyramid seemingly slowed down a bit this week with the persistent bright days, but regardless we have still been seeing some quality catches and in true Nevada fashion, every day is a gamble out here with the possibility of a jackpot fish. The Truckee continues to fish well along most sections of the river

by TROUT CREEK OUTFITTERS
It definitely feels like spring is in the air this week with some beautiful sunny days and good fishing using dry flies. As the weather continues to get nicer and days longer, we encourage you to explore some of the various waters throughout the area as both the fishing conditions and the weather align for some potentially epic days on the water. Pyramid Lake is fishing well, but it can be very sensitive to the weather

by RENO FLY SHOP
Pyramid Lake is fishing well, but it can be very sensitive to the weather. It is best to look at conditions to determine when, how, and where to fish. A bit different this year has been that on nice days the fish are being more picky, stubborn, and lazy. We are moving into a time of year too where the water temperatures will rise and

Blue winged olive hatches are happening almost every day and they can be thick every afternoon! Smaller baetis and midges patterns are working well as the hatch is subsurface as well. We suggest that you vary your depths beneath your

Clear sunny days, low clear and cold water. Now flows are up a bit on both sides of the river and March is starting off good. Remember, March is about the best dry fly month
