Las Vegas Urban Ponds Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
If you were lucky enough to unwrap a new rod and reel this year, a trip to one of the urban ponds could be a great way to test their performance. The Nevada Department of Wildlife is stocking trout and that has anglers catching their three-fish limits. Using small barbless hooks will help if you are practicing catch and release. Night crawler pieces with mini-marshmallows,

Vegas Wash continues to produce plenty of bait for anglers looking to catch a few striped bass, many of which are being caught not far from this area. The larger shad have drawn in the larger fish. Working plugs matching the shad in size, up to 12 inches in some cases, can ignite a response from these larger striped bass. If fish are present

Kirch Wildlife Management Area Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The cold has been a deterrent for many anglers. The boat launch at Cold Springs is iced over, but Haymeadow, Adams-McGill, and Dacey are ice free. Fishing from the dikes is possible but may be difficult due to floating vegetation. Conditions can change overnight so go prepared for the possibility of inclement weather. With a clear, calm night the reservoirs will ice up again.

Eagle Valley Reservoir Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
No fishing activity was reported for the reservoir this past week. With nighttime temperatures dropping into the teens, you can expect to find ice forming across the reservoir but conditions will be unsafe.

Echo Canyon Reservoir Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE

Laughlin Nevada Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Anglers continue to catch a variety of fish species, although fishing in general has slowed. Holdover trout, many coming in at about one pound, are holding in areas around docks and backwater holes. Panther Martins and small Rooster Tails are a good bet. If you are getting bites but no hook-ups try switching to bait. Anchovies have been the ticket for catfish and stripers. Catfish

Lake Mohave Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Stripers have been very active throughout the lake. Anglers have reported good action both above and below Cottonwood Cove. Placer and Aztec coves are producing fish, as well as out of Willow Beach. Crankbaits, shad and anchovies are catching the fish. The fish being caught at Willow Beach range from five to eight pounds. Further south the fish have reached double digits and anglers have

With clear skies and light winds in the forecast, anglers can expect good fishing days ahead. Stocked rainbow trout respond well to PowerBait, Power Eggs, and night crawlers. Small spinners also are producing for those anglers who prefer a little more action.

Lake Mead Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The lake level has steadily risen over the last three weeks to its current level of 1,087 feet. Crisp, clear nights are providing anglers with good fishing opportunity. Shad can be productive bait and the Vegas Wash has plenty of coves in which to catch enough shad for a day's fishing. The striped bass are not far behind the shad and working openings of

Sceirine Ranch Fish Report

by JIM REID
We didn't have anyone on the ranch this week, I'd expect the fishing to be about the same as on the Rosachi section right now though.

Pyramid Lake, NV Fish Report

by NOR CAL FISH REPORTS
The week started off quietly due to winds but the big storm that was predicted passed us by.  Saturday, the fishers were having luck from Monument all the way down to Dago Bay.  The shore fishers had better luck again this week than the boaters. The hot colors were frog, black, silver and purple. The biggest fish was brought in by Scott Anderson of Reno,

Kirch Wildlife Management Area Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
No fishing activity was reported on the management area this week. The boat launches have iced back over, but the middle sections of the reservoirs remain ice free. Anglers should be able to launch float tubes and other light watercraft from the dikes. Fishing from the dikes is possible but may be difficult while contending with vegetation and thin ice.

Eagle Valley Reservoir Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
This week angler pressure was very low due to the storm system that went through the area. Most of the lake is still clear of ice, but there is ice in the mornings around the edges of the lake and on most of the upper end.

Echo Canyon Reservoir Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The reservoir is still clear of ice despite recent storm activity. Fishing activity has been very limited. Night crawlers and PowerBait are always a good bet for enticing a sluggish trout on those cold days.

Laughlin Nevada Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
With fluctuations in weather and water, fishing has slowed as the fish adjust. Anglers have found trout in the areas of Rotary Park and the Sunshine Peninsula but the fish have proven tough to catch. While shore fishing in the area, one angler brought in a striped bass nearing 13 pounds on a pencil popper. Thanks to Rusty at Riviera Marina for the report.

Lake Mohave Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The report has been light from the past week. Anglers are reporting striped bass in coves north of Cottonwood Cove and anchovies have worked well as bait. The catch rate has been better early in the morning and then slows during the midday hours before picking up again in the evening. Willow Beach has produced a few nice catches; one fish came in at 17

Planted rainbows are hitting on a variety of baits and lures. Over the weekend kids from the Las Vegas Jr. Fly Fishing club were getting hits on gold-ribbed Hares Ears, Woolly Buggers, and Prince Nymphs fished near the bottom.

Lake Mead Fish Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Anglers are still having an easy go at netting shad but have had a difficult time enticing the striped bass to take their bait. For many, battling the weather is the first obstacle to overcome and then comes the trial of hooking a fish. With the new moon Sunday night, fishing at night under a light or using a submersible light can prove productive. Spinnows
