Nevada Fish Reports

Robert got this baby on his third cast today. Sometimes the Truckee River kicks some monsters out. 30 inches of brown trout. Robert put the wood to this monster and we landed him before the fish took off into fast water. Good job Robert. Nights have cooled, and the river is starting to fish again.

The Sceirine is fishing excellent still, lots of fish over 20 inches are being caught down there. Dry/dropper rigs have been doing well, also many of the same patterns that are working on the Cali side are working on the ranch.

It's hot, weather wise up here. It's been a hot dry summer. The fishing is still good on the Truckee River. I wouldn't say it's off the charts great, but we're getting into them. Been lagging a little on the posts mostly because it's been a busy week. I've had friends in town, guiding, bbq's, summertime Truckee kind of stuff. The river is good if you get out there in the mornings, shitty in the afternoons, and descent in the evenings. The ranch is fishing excellent and there's definitely less pressure than on other parts of the river. Pheasant tails, copper johns, hopper/dropper rigs and dead drift crayfish have all been producing some very nice fish.
