Tahoe Kokanee Today

Well went Kokanee trolling today. Been many years since I’ve trolled for them. We generally jig for them because most years they are 12-16 inches which I feel like we’re making bait. Good years they run 15-20 inches and excellent years 18-24 which is rare these days. Grabbed 15 out of 20 in hour and half then moved off for a few lakers. Most were 12-14

Over the past two weeks, Lahontan NFH has continued to stock Lake Tahoe with Pilot Peak Lahontan cutthroat trout on the Nevada side for conservation and recreational angling opportunities. Anglers who catch a FLOY tagged LCT are encouraged to call the hotline number on the tag. Reporting your catch helps us collect vital information on LCT growth, survival, and movement in Lake Tahoe.
